Hi There!

I’m Riki, and I’m a fourth generation, Japanese American yoga teacher who loves to travel solo to the lesser known parts of the world.

Whether you have been practicing yoga for years, just getting started, or a senior citizen ready to regain strength and flexibility (my specialty!), I am here to walk this path with you and create a safe space where you can be yourself.

My professional yoga journey began back in 2017 (although yoga had long been a part of my life) when I finished my first teaching training in the sacred Himalayas of Nepal. It was here I finally began to understand yoga’s original purpose of creating unity and harmony through the whole being, not just the physical body. I began incorporating sound healing through Tibetan singing bowls after learning how different vibrations and frequencies can elevate our state of meditation and health.

I have been supported by my generous family and longtime students who I am lucky enough to now call friends. Inspired by my two living grandmothers who have enjoyed great health well into their nineties, I have naturally developed a special affinity for working with seniors.

When I am not doing yoga, you’ll find me backpacking in the mountains, planting vegetables, rock climbing, road tripping, volunteering for School on Wheels, and working with youth in mental wellness.
